Can they put you to sleep while you get a brazilian wax?
I know that kind of sounds stupid, but I'm scared to do it but I want it done.Can they put you to sleep while you get a brazilian wax?
No they can't...but you take precautions and prepare for a less painful experience!
Alot of things affect pain: if your hairs are too long, and going right before your period. Your highest pain tolerance is one week after your period. You can even take an anti-inflammatory like Advil beforehand.
From personal experience, I've had mostly good experiences with brazilian, and only one bad one b/c my hairs were way too long. However, there are better places and methods than others. I discovered a waxing haven called European Wax Center. However, there are not too many locations (all in Florida). If you visit their website %26amp; get to know their method of applying ';cold'; and FLEXIBLE wax (or European wax), go somewhere where they do this. http://www.waxcenter.com/ My results are super consistent, I am never red down there after wards. (Uni-K wax is alright, but their cold wax is not that flexible). Stay away from places that use hot wax and strips, this is so old-school and WAY too painful compared to cold wax where they just pull the wax off when it hardens. Using the ';colder'; wax results in the wax grabbing more hair at a time, compared to hot wax where they go over and over the same spot resulting in red skin. Good luck finding a place, you'll be fine, it is so worth it and I actually look forward to my appointments, I have one tomorrow! :)

I have been having a wax for 8 years and would not do it myself. There are some very delicate areas that have to be waxed. Please go to a good spa to have it done. I would strictly advise against this. Brazillian waxing is complicate and if done incorrectly can cause scarring and excessive redness. Since it is going to be for her wedding you really don't want to risk any problems arising. Either book an appointment at a salon and tell her to get over the embarrassment or just do the old fashioned shaving method.

Mens Brazilian waxing?
Do they have to use male waxers? and do those waxers have to handle your equipment? I saw on the website of a local salon that they prefer you have an erection because it makes shaft hair easier to remove. What the hell goes on at those places?Mens Brazilian waxing?
They aren't always men who do the waxing. Yes, the waxers do have to handle your equipment, but if a guy is having a brazilian wax, I'm sure that isn't a big deal to him! The erection part sounds a bit silly to me. I can't imagine a guy would have so much hair that it goes far enough up the shaft to require an erection to wax it! Brazillians are expensive and you must go to a reputable place, otherwise they can be unnecessarily painful. A girlfriend of mine lives in California and goes to Pink Cheeks - this is where the Playmates go. However, when she came to visit family in Michigan, she needed a wax and didn't do much research. It was so painful, she was swollen for almost a week. She said it was the worst pain she has ever experienced in her entire life. She would always research the spa.
