Would a brazilian wax cause me to go into labor?

Im 38 weeks pregnant, and it is way to hard for me to shave '; down there'; I am considering getting a brazilian wax, but am worried that if the pain is so bad it will trigger labor considering i have never had a wax job done ';down there';. Would a brazilian wax cause me to go into labor?
LOL, no it will not cause you to go into labor, but you may want to hold off on waxing ';down there'; until after the baby is born. Waxing may prove too uncomfortable for you since you're almost full term. They require you to get into some weird positions at times, and your belly may hinder you. Plus it HURTS for real, and you'll get enough of that when you go in to labor. :)Would a brazilian wax cause me to go into labor?
No, it won't trigger contractions, but the hormonal changes in your body can make your skin extra sensitive and sometimes even fragile enough that whole pieces of skin can be easily ripped off along with the hair.





Why not just let things go au-naturale until after you deliver? Or have hubby help shave you! :)
Waxing wont cause labor but it could cause an infection. You are already swollen down there. I wouldn't risk it. The doctor has seen it all.





If you do get it done, go to a place that is used to pregnant women and make sure everything is clean before they start.
Why don't you buy a bikini shaver? I got one for like $7 at Wal*Mart forever ago (8 years?) and it still works extremely well! The shaver is at a position that makes it easy to get everywhere. Just don't get an eyebrow/nose hair one or it'll take forever.
I wouldn't have your first Brazilian wax while pregnant. The skin is more sensitive while you are pregnant and you could have potentially more adverse reactions to the waxing.
Now is not the time to start waxing your pubes. If you are really worried about untidiness, ask your partner or a trusted friend to clip it for you using a bikini trimmer.
k.. can i ask.. why wax? Trust me.. no one is looking at your hair when your pushing.. they are looking at the child coming out!! don't waste the money.. in 3 wks you will be able to shave!!!
